Jake has worked for Portland, OR, land use lawyer Diane Spies to resolve an injunction in Columbia County, OR, following experience as a planner in Multnomah County, OR, and as a planning coordinator for Yamhill County, in McMinnville, OR. Upon returning to Alabama, Jake worked for Wainwright Planning, an Airport Noise Planning firm in Montgomery, AL, before joining his deceased father's practice in Geneva, AL, where he taught French on his lunch hour for several years. Jake renewed his planning skills as a planning coordinator/reviewer for St. Johns River Water Management District in Palatka, FL. Jake has been a member of the Alabama Bar since 1976.
